Picture This: Photographing People Photographing

Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan has offered Gregg LeFevre, the installation artist and photographer, their first ever large scale fine art photography exhibition. Showcasing his photographic series of people taking pictures, these photos will bring people together by highlighting the common interests and joys that all people find in capturing images of themselves, their families, friends and the world around them.

We invite Snap Inc. to partner with the Bryant Park Corporation and Gregg LeFevre to sponsor Picture This in Bryant Park, as well as be a part of a traveling exhibition bringing multiple editions of the show to public spaces all over the world, along with co-producing a book if images from the show and related merchandise.

The Picture This campaign would be perfect for Snap Inc. Your goal as a camera company to “empower people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together” is exactly what the exhibition is celebrating. Picture This is set to take place during New York City’s vibrant art fair season, creating many leverage opportunities to connect with those in the fine art world. Through artist talks and special tours, Snap Inc can get an older and more mature crowd involved with their products, who may not normally be inclined. Snapchat and the fine art art world would be a compelling partnership. However through specialty filters, geostickers and tags, still interest your strong youth user base.

Traveling

Multiple editions of the exhibition will travel to public spaces around the world, and in each local market, become the focal point of a number of interrelated marketing outreach programs, affording Snap Inc. many arenas to present Snapchat, Spectacle, or any other product in development. Reaching a wide international audience, the traveling show is adaptable and will create an exciting, informative, and entertaining cultural event for visitors and locals alike.

Picture this

Picture This features a wide assortment of photographs taken around the world of all types of photographers in action: from smartphone amateurs to professional fashion and documentary photographers, in every age group, from many different walks of life and subcultures. Along side many of the photographs are quotations about photography and contemporary culture from well-known writers, thinkers and photographers.
